Internet slang its highly irritating. I can only liken it to trying to the unpronounceable names in elder scrolls Morrowind. It's lingo like tese that further separates internet nerds and the rest of humanity. People do not use this lingo in real life. Not the masses anyway. Seems the socially declined are the ones who embrace it.
I have noticed recently in 2014 that they are starting to creep into our movies scripts and broadcast vocabulary. It's only natural as time moves on.
Former and Latter: Forward and past tense shortened into nerd douche language. EX I prefer the former rather than the latter.
Troupe: Used to be a math term now its a description of an mannerism, theme or fetish. EX overused plot device
Ellipsis : It is literally "..." Americans do not use this , most do not know about it but it has to do with Japanese emphasis.
Zeitgeist: The age or era at the time.
Moot: Slang from the 17th century. A descriptive term for "invalid"
Click Bait: An irreletive pop up that leads you away from the pop up originally in question. Ex. "Dermatologist hate her for this"
These are a few examples of the crazyness. All in all the internet as it is seen today all stems from AOL chat rooms. The trauma, ebb and flow came from that time when humanity was innocent to chat rooms.
